Our H&S manager, Lorraine Larman, is an active member of the CILF *(Cleaning Industries Liaison Forum) Strategy Group, which ensures that LCC are at the fore front of new legislation and have paid a part in the research, trials and implementations of new procedures for the Cleaning industry. At present Lorraine is on the SLWG (short life working group) arranging SHADs (Safety and Health Awareness Days) that are currently being held around the country.
LCC have created an ownership of H&S throughout all levels within the organisation. This requires employee involvement, training and communication programmes so that staff can identify hazards/risks, suggest controls measures, provide feedback, and feel that they own safety procedures.

Health, Safety and Training are closely linked, at LCC we have the benefit of our in house training school at LCC House, where we carry out a range of both practical and theory based training.
Our risk assessments are both site and task specific and take into account the individual need and requirements of the location. All of our managers receive IOSH Managing Safely courses to improve their awareness and responsibilities for managing safely.
We have a designated department, dealing on a day to day basis with the safety needs of the company, it is easily accessible to all LCC employees for advice and support.
